Winter Alcan update – Day 5

The Alcan moves up the Dempster highway today, north of the Arctic Circle to Inuvik in the Northwest Territories. Last night the rally slept in Dawson City, site of that famous Klondike gold rush that happened a few years ago. We have not been able to get an official score update, but unofficial reports have car #2 (Eklund/Kraushaar) less than two points behind the leading #1 Mini of Webb/Goldfarb. I’m hoping for some detailed updates from Inuvik this evening. – blog and updates.

Alcan Winter 2012 Day 1 scores

TeamD’s army of bloggers is not competing in this year’s Alcan event. Word from Paul Elklund on the Yahoo event email list is that the slalom at the Gold Pan Speedway in Quesnel was cancelled this morning.

There are a bunch of folks posting on Facebook, and one or two have some good blogs as well. ) car 13 was headed for Valdez to catch up with the rally while 15 and 16 stayed at Tok last night and will join the event at the finish.
